iHi, found this forum after an internet search , I have just acquired 4 ( all consecutive serial numbers) Infinity RS IIIa speakers , been trawling the net regarding these as want to restore them to their former glory
Not in bad condition cosmetically odd mark and scratch , but not bad for a 30yr old speaker , complete with front covers , even have the infinity badges on , think these are later versions as they have sprung connectors, not inding posts.
The foam round the the poly dome and emit tweeters has seen better days , as has the foam round the two main drivers
I have tracked decent foam surround kits from the "simply surround " firm in the USA , .The foam round the tweeters is I believe open cell 6mm thick , so shouldn't be a problem
I think these were a bit of a bargain @ £80 for all 4
No plinths , not sure if these had any , but there are three holes in the speaker base ?
Found these on gumtree of all places
