Hitachi FT-R10 tuner

Anyone have some impressions, pro or con, they would like to share about this 1980s tuner? Pretty sure it was part of a rack system (3500 Series) and I found the owner's and service manuals on HiFIEngine, so that helps. It resembles the FT-8000 but that may just be cosmetic. FMTuner.info does not have anything and I am not having any success with a Google search.

No replies, but I pulled the trigger and bought a unit. It arrived looking beautiful but output was intermittent. Deox'ing did not solve the problem, but my friendly nearby tech diagnosed the FM Rec Level switch was corroded or dry - he used some liquid Deoxit in a syringe to get some inside the switch. Problem solved. The unit sounds great now and pulls in my favorite stations.
