Holy S#!T BATMAN! I literally BLEW out the Woofers on my NOS pair of Advent Baby 3's

Hi guys,

Good questions! I did NOT see/smell smoke so, I'm hoping that the Foam surrounds exploding due to the (over) dynamic Drums pluses.
Truthfully, I did not think I was playing the speakers too loudly. I'm thinking it is perhaps a combo of too much volume/dynamics and (unbeknownst to me)
compromised (read aged) Foam. I did however hear some (not so cool) noise about the time the Woofers went South. King, I guess I will have to remove the
Woofers to test using an Ohm meter ? Believe it or not, I've never tested Drivers before. I guess now, I'll have to learn how.

SixCats!

You have a multi master?

Pull the driver and check the resistance. It the coil is good your resistance will stay steady, if you actually fried, not "blown" the coil the resistance will jump around.

If you are getting a good reading near what the original specs should be 4/8 ohm, i'd say pick up a foam kit and get cracking! :)
