    One tab. I am much too simple-minded for multi-tasking. Sometimes it seems as if I was even too simple-minded for just one task.

    I have been known to have about 5 tabs open a once - but that's about it for some of the stuff I am looking up. With my old PC, precise OS, and browser version forgotten - I did manage to open 27 tabs before the PC ran out of resources - which was what I was trying to find out. :D

    My usual home page set of seven ... plus two.

    Depends on what's going on too. If I'm researching a project, I'll have a bunch more open, and save those to the "home" set until I'm done with them. Easier than trying to find them again in the browser history or remember what's what.
