How many decibels?

Back before my SPL meter broke, when listening to Rakoczi March on Telarc, the nominal was around 85-90dB. The crescendo was in the 120dB range.

You have to watch Telarc and Reference recordings. Their average levels are recorded at a lower volume than most other classical discs because they don't compressthe signal and there's another 10 db or so of headroom on the disc than labels like Deutsche Gramophone, Chandos, Phillips, Sony, etc.

Listening to Pandora in my home office. No music: 33 dB. Max music: 56 dB.

Using Decibel X on my iPhone 6s.

Normal for me is about 85 to 90 dB about 12 feet back from my Klipsch La Scalas. That draws about 1/2 watt of power out of my Pioneer SX-1980. Rocking when mama isn't home runs about 103 to 105 dB, which might drive the 1980 over 1 watt or so, Rockin' hard for limited periods (1 or two songs max,) I might go 110 dB, which takes about 8 to 10 watts of power. Anything over that is just silly stupid and I can only handle it for a few seconds of so. I might see the UV flirt with 50 watts in that case.
