I've had a few in the past, but can't remember most them now. I had a Nakamichi 582, Pioneer CT-F950 and Marantz 5220, but sold them all.
I currently have:
Kenwood KX-5530
Nak RX-202
Teac A2300-SX (which I will someday get up and running...I think)
I like my Nak RX-202, it's a nice sounding deck.
My whole thing about tapes decks though is that there are no techs who will touch them, so once they go, that's it. I've tried digging into decks befoer myself and I won't touch them either anymore, too scary to me.

Pioneer CT-WM77R (x2)
Pioneer CT-F9191 (since college)
Yamaha KX-W952
Yamaha KX-W602
Nakamichi LX-5

And cassettes are still in all my cars...

Correction: Marantz SD-8020 - no dbx

Wishful thinking? I would like to acquire the dbx model of the Compudeck. Since most of them are non-functional by now if they haven't been rebuilt they can go for pretty cheap. I paid $25 bucks for mine on CL.

Analog and Digital

I have just seen this thread. Very interesting. It provides records for devices, some of which have had a considerable and important presence in the audio era.

So far, I've owned the following:

A. R-to-R
Akai M9 (my first open reel recorder)
Akai M8 (given to me by a friend, not yet tested - there is a thread for it in this category on how to restore it)
Akai GX-630D (bought from ebay, arrived two days ago. Needs to be serviced, cleaned, set up and calibrated)

B. Cassette
Teac A-160 (my first ever cassette deck, equiped with Dolby B NR)
JVC CD-1950
JVC KD-S200 (both JVCs with company's proprietary ANRS noise reduction)
Nakamichi Cassette Deck 2 (Bolby B, C)
Kenwood KX-9050S (Dolby B, C, S)

C. DAT Recorders
AIWA XD-S1100
Sony PCM-2600 Pro

I am not going to mention here the portable cassette recorders, that I have eventually owned through the years, mainly because they cannot be considered as hi-fi ones and of course, because they have never been used as such. Some of them, incuding some mini and micro cassette recorders were used for professional purposes, such as on-the-spot voice recordings, when describing inspections and surveys during my marine technical career. The others were just used for fun, at family picnics and excursions with friends.

Yeah...I don't know how to service it...don't have a Quad receiver...I'm listening to it now...sounds great...I think someone who is more technically minded than I could show it much more love. :D
