I need to remove the platter from my PE-3048 which basically looks like a DUAL 1257. In the manual it simply says: Remove platter with the aid of a screwdriver inserted through the hole in the chassis provided for this purpose. However I don't see how that will remove the platter since it is on there pretty tight. Do I have to turn something at the base of the spindle?
