[How to] restore my McIntosh MC-60

Tubes seems to be ok. I tried to swap tubes to see if the problem moves to the other amp. No go. So I am ruling out the tubes as the culprit.

Definitely, the amp(s) may need to be checked again.

Since I love the sonic signature of my MC-60s, these amps will be back in service as soon as I have it fixed. ...Again. :)

The amp is fixed. It was a bias problem.

I also replaced the lamp cord with a grounded plug.

Hi All,

Talking about thread revival.

Many years have passed after the restoration job, my McIntosh MC-60s are still in service providing me with many hours of enjoyment.

This amp is a keeper that is for sure.

I see this thread is pretty old. Anyone still out there. I am just beginning my MC-60 restoration. I have schematics, but none of these have expected voltage readings. Can I get something more details. Hope you all are still around. Anyone in San Jose CA?
