Hudson Valley NY FreezeFest Saturday January 30, 2016

I was thinking some bagels and some spreads
Hoping someone else would bring some paper goods
I will be stopping at the wholesale club on the way over to pick up the sub sandwiches and I will grab some paper plates and cutlery. Can anyone grab plastic cups and napkins?

Mike - put me down to bring Solo cups and Napkins, as well as Some soda (Coke?) or / and Seltzer.

It looks like we are going to have a nice size turnout tomorrow. There is a big lot behind the firehouse where we can enter the building. If the lot fills up please keep the area near the door vacant so guys can unload their treasures there. There is plenty of parking across the street in the school lot.

If you have questions I can be reached at 845-219-1730 text or call.

It looks like I'm a no show for tomorrow, sitting in ER. Trying to be hopeful it's not too serious.
Take lots of pics.

Have fun guys. I'm just not up for the drive. The only thing I have that sees the salt is my truck, and the seats in it are worn out to the point where it would be too uncomfortable to make the drive to Andy's place to hitch a ride the rest of the way.

To all,
I had a great time at today fest, meeting and conversing with some really nice people. I even got to sell one of my units, but offset this by purchasing 3 others!!!
I would like to also extend my thatks to the organizers for doing such as great job with this event

Thanks again
Tom Brander

Today was definitely what AK is all about. Great folks getting together to hang out and enjoying this great hobby together. It was a blast seeing familiar faces and many new ones. I had a great time, want to thank you all for coming, some from a great distance, and also as a member of the fire company greatly appreciate your generous donations. We raised $203 which I will personally deliver this Wednesday at the monthly meeting. They were very thankful after our first event here and I am sure will be very welcoming toward future events.

I felt the slightly isolated demo area served well to bring the volume level down in the main area of the room. It was so cool hearing some interesting systems and being able to chat in the area with gear for sale. The room is horrible for acoustics but we make the best of it. Several members brought their kids which is great to see budding members of this hobby that we enjoy so much being encouraged by other AKers. At one point I did a rough head count of 55 which was way more then I was expecting. Hope these events keep growing and look forward to the next one. I have a bunch of pictures I will post up.

Mike,

Thanks for organizing this. It was great fun and I'm glad we could raise some money for the Fire Co.

Mike, thanks again for organizing this gathering, and the 3 foot subs! As always, fun to hang with like minded audiohaulicks! The demo area worked out well, lots of nice gear for sale, great food, and yes great to see younger people with an interest in vintage audio.

Look forward to the next gathering here and see some of you up at Frakenfest in Clinton in a few weeks.

Cheers, Glenn
