if you want a good browser with some nice features give slimjet a try ..i have been running it for a while now instead of chrome .. chrome has a built in thing for mainly conferencing use but it cannot be turned off anymore . it was stopping unattended shutdowns of my pc . i like to click the off button and leave the pc to shutdown in 30 seconds .

Slimjet is terrific, but I've switched to CentBrowser. http://www.centbrowser.com/ Like SlimJet, it is based on the Blink engine, has many of the features of SlimJet, but without the abysmal (IMO) GUI.

I have the same problem as the OP. I've got to use IE at work because that is all the IT people here allow me to use. Hmmm, reading this thread must have cleared it up for today lol.

Same here. But it disappeared yesterday and hasn't been back. Whatever ad it was must of scrolled off.

I wonder how some of you guys find out about all this seemingly obscure software. SlimJet? O&O Shut Up? All Greek to me. I guess I'm just not a software dude...
