I Have Four Systems Now

Live Music Listener
Maybe 2 too many? I can't list them all in my signature. Most components I remember enough about to discuss them....

Location A System 1: Sony TTS-3000, Rabco SL-8, Denon 103, Yamaha CR-2020, NAD 2150, DQ-10+LP xover+Dahlquist subwoofer, Teac A2300s, ADS Model 10, Rectilinear III
Location A System 2: AR 4x, Pioneer 7025, Pioneer 8-track, Pioneer SLT table
Location B System 1: Heath AR-15, AR-2ax, Revox A77, Denon DCM370
Location B System 2: Boston CA8, Sherwood S-7025, (source is twinlead antenna and repurposed old Powerbook G4 with iTunes' internet radio)
Under Construction: Rectilinear Xa clone
Temp on Loan: Miida T3115/Grado, Infinity 3000 (12")
Spares: Shure V-15 Mk II, Improved, Calrad Triaxial 8", 2-Dyna Mk II, Dyna FM-2, Eico ST-40, Eico HF-12, Eico tuner, BIC antenna box, Harmon-Kardon 6L6 mono amp, various

I cannot receive FM at Location A, maybe thru cable or internet radio. Most of the year I am at Location B, for now. I may shift some items around between location and systems. Some of these I've borrowed from my brother or we own jointly. Roof-mounted at Location B is frowned upon by neighborhood association, but not sure if I really care since I don't do FM DXing any more.

I found a photo of my college system; I will scan and post in a few days. I've sold all that and a few more components over the years as I've discussed here (KLH Sixes, LK-72, AR-XA tt, etc).

Not all of these items are connected; ask about my already posted huge to-do list. I need to make room and set up a better electronics lab for this to-do list; I already have a good woodshop in one location and a basic one in the other (no room). If I win the Lottery, I will buy a larger home at Location 2 and have lots more room. If I start playing the Lottery I may have an infinitesimally greater chance of winning than I do now.

I do not have buddies in either location who are also gear hounds, as far as I know. But I really wish I did, so I've been thinking about starting a meet-up group for that purpose. I do have several musician buddies, some of whom would like to have better systems. Maybe some do, but I have not discussed this with anyone yet; maybe I will start this meet-up idea today while at my dance band gig. We have had two AK meet-ups at HIONFI (I attended one), but looks like that won't happen again at that place. I wonder how many of the AK crowd have gear buddies with whom they regularly talk audio with outside of AK.

4 is not 2 too many. In fact you are just getting started.

Family room 4 systems
Dining room 1
Living room 1
Massage room 1
Darkroom 1
Studio 2
Garage 2
Framing shop 1
Bedroom 1
Bathroom 1
Treadmill 1
Public office 1
Private office 4
Sewing room 1
Plus several more in storage I rotate in and out.

Four? You have plenty of room before you have a "Problem".

I have no more listening rooms (shop is way too dusty) on either house. I could use a few more components to round out the systems, but no more systems are needed. I'd like to help others accumulate systems; best I can do now. Further, I am an equipment user, not a collector.

This is hilarious my wife thinks I'm nuts for multiple systems. I have one in my home office ( work ), home office ( man cave ), downstairs living room main system and upstairs living room system.

Recently I added 2 sets of Rectilinear XIIs and a set of AR-3a's. So many repair/restoration projects. Plus a few auto and 4 home plumbing projects.
