Can anyone explain how to post pics? I have tried using the usual method, ie: clicking on the pic icon as usual and pasted the url in the pop up bar with no results. I just get , and no pic. Same goes for my sig pic. I have tried on an ipad, mac pro and a pc with no joy.
PS. I love the new format. Posting pics is the only problem I have encountered so far.
Well you are doing how your suposed to but looking at your comment and signature I see where the photo in the comment and your signature didn't post. It shows [/URL]

Hey,
I have also been unable to upload pictures. I keep getting an error message.
I was barely able to write this message. I guess my java permissions had been reset and I was unable to type anything into the text box.

Let me liken this situation to music....

If our club just upgraded their streaming equipment and provided Hi rez streaming of 32bit flack files. Then two members out of two thousand said they can't hear any difference between mp3 and 32bit flack or the equipment they have doesnt alow them to hear any difference. Does the club downgrade the streaming to all 2000 members and make them all listen to mp3 files?

I have a friend on the site and he wasn't even able to post anything outside of his profile page since the change over. His only internet source is a antiquated phone, did he ask the site to fit his technology so he can save money? NO. He ran out and got a better phone as he knows he will still need to move forward as technology advances.

I called my cell phone provider and they upgraded to a Nokia Lumia for ten bucks SHIPPED.

Now I will have to see if I can track down the turtle.

Love the new forum format, except for the change to uniform size thumbnail previews on all linked images. Web pages are interesting when they are more than text and thumbnails, its a graphical medium. Resizing all images to uniform-sized thumbnail previews makes browsing the forum pages 50% less interesting for me. Yes, actual picture sizes are available if you click on the thumbnails but I want to browse pages full of normal size images, not click every image one at a time to see the normal size.

I actually like the feature myself. It saves me from having to resize photos and keep two copies of the same photo on my computer. Just because people weren't starting threads complaining about something doesn't mean that there wasn't an issue. Maybe you should get in touch with the bike sponsor.

For the umthing time...at this new site the images where already no bigger than the masage box. This is the size they should be for a aesthetically good view.

This can be proved by quoting your post, this bike fits perfect in the mesage box and not destorting the page

Piror to the change all images would fit the mesage box if thay where big and when expanded view was used, it was full screen and fit.

Now we have images that are reduced to 50% of the mesage box and in expanded view they blow up larger than "Full Screen"

That motor cycle can not be viewed expanded it's blows up way to big. So in other words both views options as set now suck.

BTW you should be civil here, you are not at PC where you can freely drop insults.

Wonder if the software could shrink this image in four hours or less? <G>

I can understand both sides of this issue, and really I think the size that the administrators came up with is a fair compromise. I also have posted a fair amount of pics in the music threads, and like Mholland stated it is a pain to have to take photo's and have them resized just for a number of members who seem to not like the photos. And on the other side I had many people state they liked the photos, so really it seems to be a hard choice to make, and one that will be hard to please all members. I never access this site via my iphone so I had not idea how pictures would effect their viewing, I just thought they were complaining because they like to cry about something.

Well if you go over to political chat you would see them complain about the same thing. Carl is a member there and if his equipment is having trouble with images, he's the one that needs to learn how to adjust resolution or step up his game in the computer world. For the life of me I can't understand why we are going backwards with imaging for someone...or ONE.
