    From them internets:
    Jannsen-
In store brand used by California, USA based hi-fi & electronics chain store CAL Stereo in the 1970's, mostly loudspeakers, unsure who was the OEMsupplier.

Are they Jannsen's? Can you really see the badge?

I infer it only because they managed to misspell "classic." I've seen it spelled "Jansson" as well.

I don't know about that. I've never seen EPI style inverted domes on a white van speaker. I'd want to hear them or at least see a nudie before I wrote them off.

Maybe you go to the shop and they need refoamed. Talk to the right person and suddenly the price drops to $5.

I may try to visit. It's in a small town a thirty minute drive north. Hopefully they'll still be there this next weekend.

IMO they're not worth what they're asking, but if pickings are slim in your area it may be better than anything available at that price.
Does St. Vincent de Paul haggle?

Never heard of them before. They look both cheap and interesting at the same time but those little pull tabs on the grills are usually a bad sign.

I don't get that. It seems to me they put those there to encourage you to look at the drivers. Glued on grills are usually a bad sign.

I had pull tabs on my IMF TLS 80II, hardly a cheap speaker. Just sayin'.
