1970 UTC Catalog, Page 17 in PDF viewer (numbered as page 15 in the catalog).

They are for impedance matching or line out duty for Transistors Circuits development.

wonder if you could spin them backwards for use as a step-up transformer for a low output moving coil cartridge. Seems a little bit overkill but it might get the job done.
 
I sold a ton of line matching transformers on eBay earlier this year. Those will fetch good coin if you don’t have a use for them. Especially if you ship internationally.

Wicked rare, I've never seen a set loose. They were meant for use as a transistor interstage for amplifier prototyping. That road was quickly turned into a dead-end.
 
They're step-down transformers which can be configured with 5:1, 10:1 or 20:1 ratios.
