I'm Pretty Sure This Will Buff Out OK...

That looks like the one and only Marantz I have ever seen. It was at a flea market for $35. I left it there.

The scary thing is, that with time and effort, you could probably pull enough parts off of that "scrap" to recoup your $140. I have "scrapped out" some beat-up gear for salvageable parts and was really surprised at the total value of that "junk".

Yea, the only problem is you will end up spending a lot of hours parting it out just to make the money back, in this case. Looking at it, there is not enough knobs left, can’t sell the face plate, boards are crushed, rear speaker terminals probably crushed, and low power Quad receiver parts are not in high demand. I don’t see much parts value on this guy....

Let's see:
1) it works
2) deoxit will make it right
3) bulbs and/or LEDs are readily available
4) FedEx, UPS, etc, can't damage it much more, just lose it
5) it will buff out just fine and what doesn't
6) a few minutes on the frame straightening machine and it will be ready to go.

What is not to love?
Someone needs to save this one!!
