Inexpensive New Tube Preamp

Ok, so I have this Maggie 93xx sitting around and haven't been able to hone in on a decent pre.
It really isn't expensive, $60, but again I am fairly new and don't have a lot of experience to compare this with another..

What are you using as a source. If it puts out 2v then you could get away, and quite well I might add, with just some sort of buffer unit. If your source has voltage than you don't need preamplification but proper impedance matching with a volume pot. So the Douk would be just fine until you can afford a real nice buffer or preamp. Go for it. But do remember it's a $50 so quality can vary.

Take a look at the Bottlehead Quickie battery powered preamp. It's easy to build and sounds great for only $99, batteries not included.
Hey, didn't think of that one. That's GREAT!!! I tried that and it was really, really nice!
