Infinity RS-1.5 Broken Grille Guides

I picked-up a pair of RS-1.5s and they sound terrific. The cosmetic condition of the speakers is also excellent except that all 4 of the grille guide posts are broken off on one speaker and one out of four on the other is on its last legs. What have you guys done to fix busted guides/posts? I am aware of the kits available on Parts Express but haven't tried extracting the bases that are still in the RS-1.5s yet.

Get a drill bit that's ever-so-slightly bigger than the female end of the guide post. Start drilling and PULL. It will come right out.

For the male end, pry it out with the tined end of a hammer. Very simple.

New ones, gently tap them back into place with a rubber mallet.
