You need to be a subscriber to see the actual Barter town. It is alive and very well!

Barter town no longer shows on my sign in. Is the subscription a yearly thing?

I suppose it could be considered deal. It’s a great deal for those that find good non working components, recondition the great gear that is sought after like myself.

It was wasted money for some that never was able to find the final piece of what you need .

I've bought a number of fine working pieces in BT, as well as SACDs and CDs at good prices.

Haven't been in the market much for DIY fixer-uppers ...
ebay seems to serve that market - tho sellers there don't always tell you if it needs repairs ;)

Like others have said, it depends on what you want to buy (or sell). BT is a reflection of AK in general so it is heavy on vintage/budget/value type stuff. Not that there isn't newer and/or higher end stuff too.

I sold enough tubes to more than pay for my subscription, and then bought some new old stock horn tweeters.

I think if you're into DIY type stuff you will like bartertown.

Music listings are great. Equipment, what ever you want.
