Is Southern Reel to Reel reputable?

I will have a restoration done soon on my Teac deck. Has anyone had dealings with Southern Reel to Reel in Shelbyville, TN? Just trying to find out if they are reputable.

I don't know. Be interesting to find out more about them. I can recommend Sam Palermo in Chicago at Skywave TDR for all your Teac/Tascam repair needs. He's not cheap, but does superb work. Sam is also the former lead technician for Teac/Tascam Factory Service.

+1 on the Sam reco. Personal experience there. He has a backlog but it's worth the wait in my opinion. He just does things the right way. No short cuts.

Thanks for the opinions guys. I have been in touch with Sam and he is not taking units at this time. I will give Southern Reel to Reel a shot. Talked to Pete there and seems to know his stuff. Plus I can drive there to take it to them. I'll comment to give thoughts after. Taking it next week.
