iTunes EQ?

I don't use any software EQs when I use my computer to play music as it introduces too much distortion...more so than when using a hardware outboard one.

It goes straight from Foobar out, no plugins or anything.

I 100% agree. Software EQ's are notorious for simply making it sound like crap in the name of sliding graphics. If you need to EQ, and some of us (myself included on occasion) do, then I would suggest going with a hardware solution.

I sometimes use it on my laptop (hard to make those tiny speakers sound any worse than they do), and also on my iPod through my car stereo. I understand that on an iPod using the EQ will drain the battery faster than with the EQ turned off.

Respectfully, iTunes ≠ iPod

Agreed, but when a topic fits in more than one Forum, we try to get the best logical fit. Somebody looking for or interested in iTunes information will probably look in the digital audio area and not in the general audio area.
