I am a JBL outsider, but thought some of you might find these interesting

Very interesting, where is Dublin/Livermore area.......Wonder what year they were manufactured, never seem em.....The link says JBL was part of Harmon International family of Audio at time of build, that alone lowers my expectations......Still a very interesting find.....:thmbsp:
I'm fairly certain that having a completely crumpled dome does affect the performance of a tweeter.
Thank God someone at JBL took the time to ask themselves the question "How can we make these fine speakers look really cheap & ugly?".
Yeah and good luck finding a replacement...especially in GOLD
That was the first thing that popped into my twisted, little mind: JBL by Techwood... At first glance they look like something that came from one of those rent-to-own places.
The century gold was released in 1996 which was of course shortly after Harman took over. They were a limited production run and are pretty rare. True they look kind of strange but I can imagine that they would sound pretty nice. Here is the spec sheet; http://lansingheritage.org/html/jbl/specs/home-speakers/1996-century-gold.htm
