Do not let this problem persist. Fix it immediately. When I first got my 87 Grand Wagoneer, the oil pressure gauge had a ground loose, so when I turned on the car, the oil pressure gauge pegged out @ 80.
I did not think anything was wrong, other than my oil pressue was high. I knew I was mistaken the day the rod threw. I had only owned the vehicle for 6 weeks when it blew up.
A $12.00 part ended up costing me $2300 for a new 360 ci motor. :tears:
