I don't know why but I've been curious about linear TTs and have been looking to get one. I've seen some for sell in my area but I really wanted one that looked classy. A PL-1000 showed up on CL for $450 and after a week I figured I'd offer $350. He said yes, but there's one problem. When then tone arm is raised with the ev button, the arm automatically moves to the right. If the arm is down, it tracks correctly. I got the service manual and split the case open. I order some jumper cables so I can connect the upper and lower when they are apart. I think I understand the schematics enough to start debugging this problem when I get the cables in. Anyway, the unit looks in good condition and I'm excited to get this thing working.
