Glenn
Hey Glenn
well this Victor AX-900 actually dont need a preamp in my ears sounding gorgous with my JBL,s L-90 or L-19 or 4312E
Also got a pair of Quad 11
anyway im honest didnt check it sofar in preamp configuration but its one thing ill do in the next few weeks
can use different preamps for this testing as there are Classe DR5 ,Victor P-3030,Mcintosh MX-110X ,Sansui CA-3000
beside some other Japanese Integrated Amps

I looked more closely at your pics, and see it's an integrated amp, so yes, no need for a pre. I originally thought it was a straight power amp. Once you have it set up, please post a video of it in action in the video thread for us to get a taste of this rare amp!
Cheers, Glenn

Hey Glenn
few questions to the expert
2 days ago picked up the Victor M-L10 from Costumers Office so im very happy soundwise with this wonderfull Amp
after checking all details and dings on the wooden cover the faceplate is very clean must all in all its a great buy
worth every euro
beside there are some Issue need to fix the meter light cause no light at all no red no white when start up the amp also its strange for me
the meterneedles are fare under the 0 position of if the amp if is under fire on low level and also if the amp is power off my question

Damn Wally! SWEET!
You have a great source for great amps! These are more common in Europe & Japan than the states.
I suggest you download the service manual, parts manual, owners manual and technical manuals from hifiengine.
You need to set up a free account to download the PDF files.

https://www.hifiengine.com/manual_library/jvc/m-l10.shtml

In the Service manual should be information on adjusting the meter pointers position at idle. There's a screw to turn, which moves the pointers.
The light bulbs are probably burnt out. You can replace them with LED bulbs. There are color rubber sleeves that slip over the bulbs for the red and blue-white color.
Be very careful to remember where the wired plugs go, and make sure they are aligned properly before you power up the amp after the bulbs are replaced. Take lots of pics for reference.

Your amp is rated @ 160wpc, 10 more than my M-7050. When my tech had it on the bench he tested it to full power before clipping and he said it put out 210 wpc!
These are great sounding amps with high damping factors of 200, and can drive pretty much any speaker with ease.
Congrats!

Glenn

You're on a JVC quest! Love it!
I've got 3 M-7050's, they all work. But the one in the worst shape, meters don't work, will be sacrificed for parts if ever needed. Check out @Ds2000 Onkyo gear! He has top line speakers and power amp. Gorgeous gear, as well as an M-L10 and P-L10 pre amp.
Cheers, Glenn

Aloha
Heinz Berlin will fix the Meterlightproblem+Adjustment etc. check the M-L10 according to the schematics
Is there actually any difference between the Victor /JVC M-L10
except the voltage and Company Logo?
cheers all enjoy the weekend

Victor/JVC are the same except for voltages. Victor is the name used in the Japanese market, JVC USA, Canada and other markets.
One of my M-7050's is from Japan with the Victor logo on it.

Hi Wally,

Here's a pic of the meter housing. That piece of metal coming down from the middle is basically a lever to adjust the pointer positions. You move it back & forth for the desired pointer position when idle.
