It sounds as good as any CD player I have owned. There are a few quirks that I guess are because it's a DVD player like slower to initially read discs once inserted, automatically starts playback when closing the door and limited display information, but I am very happy with it.
I like them. I have had the TSi100's for 3 yrs now, longer than any of my other equipment. Can't beat them for their price new or used IMO. The sub is over 20 yrs old now I think. It is a good match for the 100's just to give a little more low end.
