Kenwood Eleven Timer Shaft Coupler Fabrication

I recently acquired a Kenwood Eleven III receiver. I had no idea how huge they were - very cool! This one had a non-working timer and I found out the timer shaft coupler was broken as, it turns out, many are. I decided to make my own replacement coupler out of aluminum stock. It came out pretty good. Photos below.

I used a lathe to drill the hole and a Dremel tool with a cut-off wheel to cut the slot for the pin on the timer shaft. The set screws are #10-24 threads. Here's some other specs I measured if you decide to make your own:
Length = 40mm
Hole size = B drill bit
Set screw hole distance from timer end = 4mm
Set screw hole distance from knob end = 5mm
Set screw offset from timer shaft slot = 45 degrees
Timer shaft pin slot depth = 5mm
Timer shaft pin slot width = 2.5mm

A Ruland flexible shaft coupler will probably work well for a timer shaft coupler replacement, although they're closer to $40. From the Ruland website:
