Just picked this up today from a local Fleebay seller.

Power output: 150 watts per channel into 8Ω (stereo)
Frequency response: 0Hz to 200kHz
Total harmonic distortion: 0.004%
Damping factor: 1000
Input sensitivity: 0.1mV (MC), 2.5mV (MM), 150mV (line)
Signal to noise ratio: 70dB (MC), 88dB (MM), 108dB (line)
Output: 150mV (line)
Speaker load impedance: 4Ω to 16Ω

This sound real nice...Now...Let's make it BETTER!!!

Caps in Unit:
1st Main Cans: ELNA 12000uf 90v
2nd Main Cans: ELNA 6800uf 63v
Caps: ELNA

Replacement Caps:
1st Main Cans: Nichicon 12000uf 100v
2nd: Main Cans: Nichicon LS 6800uf 63v
Caps: Panasonic FR, FC, Nichicon ES, ELNA SILMIC II, BC VISHAY

Will put in the order tonight...Stay Tune...

OK...let's get started.

As you can see...It that Crap Glue that eats in it's path.

Had to replace 3 Ground Leads and 2 Caps had the Post's eaten through.

WOW....Caught that in time... :yes:

Power Supply done...Panasonic FR and FC

Power Amp is next....

Power Amp....

There is a TI NE5532P Op-Amp. Going over the specs on replacing this with TI LME49860NA.

The TI LME49860NA as I have used these in number of Pre-Amps and Amps..These do sound Real Good!!!!!

Caps are in the Power Amp.

Update: Going to replace the Op-Amp with TI LME49860NA

Input Selector is Done.

Caps Used: ELNA Silmic II and Nichicon FG

Since it's the Input Selector...Audio Caps are a must.

Working on the Tone Amp.

You can see a JRC 2041DD. These are a lower noise version of the NJM4558.

I will replace with a TI LME49860NA.

Caps will be ELNA Silmic II...That's it for now...Will start the caps later today.

TI LME49860NA are in. Just for HA HA's...I put back the TI NE5532P and noticed right from the start there not as Detailed as to clean Bass and Treble (Sound-Scape is Big)..so back in the TI LME49860NA.

Put in the Big Boy's last...Powered up and ALL is GOOD!!!!!

Adjusted the Idle Current and Offset. Rock Steady.

I will Post the finale Pics later today...One of the Mute Lamps is out (14v 80ma)..Lucky I have some from my Luxman R-1040...

Update on KA-1100SD

Have around 30hrs and she is Opening up...Before the Lows were to Focused...Now Very Defined, Snappy Low End and Highs.

I have noticed on some of my Recaps(Pioneer SX-1050 and SX-780)...Using Nichicon PW/PM in the Power areas you get a Stock Sound(Which is Fine)...By using Panasonic FR/FM and FC I have noticed a Music quality as if using Nichicon Muse and ELNA SILMIC II.

What's good about the Panasonic FR/FM and FC is the High Temp, Higher Hours and LOW ESR(FR/FM) on the caps as to Nichicon PW/PM...Just my overall observation.

The Panasonic FR/FM and FC will now be my go to Cap in the Power areas with ELNA SILMIC II, Nichicon KZ,FG for audio path.

Next Up...Luxman R-1050 using Panasonic FR/FM/FC and ELNA SILMIC II, Nichicon KZ,FG.

Just tried connecting the adaptor in/out together and that solved it. CD direct bypasses the external equipment and balance. Good info for others
