I've never really given my KA3500/KT5300 a listen in the main listening area. Recently purchased and not even cleaned I was considering just flipping them. I'm set up for two amps and four speaker sets so I'm doing a lot of comparisons. Right now my amps are an MCS 3125 at 125 wpc and an NAD 7130 at 30wpc with some very efficient Klipsch and pretty power hungry Infinity and ESS speakers. It looks like the Kenwood combo is gonna stick around for awhile. Dang it no matter how hard I try I just can't seem to turn loose of this stuff lol. Another Kenwood set I have is KA6000/KT7000 which I haven't even powered up since verifying that everything works when I picked them up.
