Kenwood KT-5000 Lamps

Hello all - I'm working on a KT-5000 Tuner and have a lamp issue. It appear the winding on the transformer for the dial lamps has failed. Disconnected, I get 8vAC, but connected to the six dial lamps it goes flat. The B+ winding is fine.

If I power the lamp circuit from an external supply, the lamps work fine and I draw 1.5 amps. For such a small (in physical size) transformer, this seems high?

The bulbs installed as it came are all Stanley brand.
(4) Stanley S82, 8v, .15a fuse style
(2) Stanley, S83, 8v, .3a bayonet style

This all adds up to 1.5 amps, and they appear the right brightness for purpose. So the question is, are the right bulbs in place?

The manual identifies bulbs by part number, but not location so here's what it lists for lamp numbers:
S16-06
S16-19
S16-22

So - can anyone tell me the ratings for original lamps by part number above?

I have yet tor try a smaller load on the transformer lamp winding to see if it works up to a certain current draw. I do have a substitute transformer I can swap in (40v CT and 8v windings), but it's not an exact fit and hate to do physical mods if I don't have to.

Thanks
