KLH Eighteen Tuning Meter Motion

I have a KLH 18 tuner that, to my rather poor ears, sounds OK. I have noticed that when I tune across the dial the meter pointer has most of its motion off to one side. The sound seems OK when the needle is centered although I cannot tell if what is the optimum spot. Would a minor adjustment of the detector coil move this around? I assume the detector coil is the last transformer can in the IF sequence. Any comments, even general in nature would be appreciated.

Thanks

On my sample of the KLH 18, the actual meter centerlines are on a piece of paper and the glue failed which made the paper slip. I had to open up the meter and reglue that slip back onto the meter body. It is possible that yours has also shifted in time.
