Actually I believe it is a re boot of Kong vs. Godzilla. I saw the original in b&w when it first came out.

The original BW was on just the other night on Comet's Saturday night "Godzilla Gets Down."
As for Kong vs Godzilla, we know (by now anyways) that Godzilla can NOT be killed. Nukes won't even do it cause that's what birthed him to begin with.
Godzilla farts in Kongs general direction. No contest!

They are casting him as the same character in pretty much everything, just in different places and situations.

I am not typically a John C. Reilly fan but I thought he did excellent in this one.
