Koss Pro4AA Stereophones

I bought a set of Pro4AAs back in the '70s and had them until they fell apart in pieces. I really like the sound quality, although I agree with Boonaroo in that they were not the most comfortable things around. I did not realize that Koss was even still in business. Hmm....

They're very healthy but were in deep debt in the early '80s. They hired a president when John Sr wanted to scale his duties back and the guy was completely had no clue about the audio industry. They fired the president, John Sr returned to bring it back from the brink, sold his house, and 11 months later, they had eliminated a $9M debt. Since then, they have kept a close eye on the business. They still have the "No questions asked" lifetime warranty, too.

I grabbed a pair of esp6s a few months ago for five bucks, in the case. They are permanently wired to my analog system, and I use the case to carry my 4aa to work. They sound great, but can't take a lot of bass at high volume.
