LaFayette LT-40 and LA-40 Pilot Lamp Question

I purchased these new in 1977 and they have been solid performers. Looking at the schematics and original manuals, I can't find any specs for the pilot lamps. I am not an educated electronics tech. I do have basic electronics skills and need to replace the lamps. I need the specs for the lamps so I can purchase 4 new ones (2 in the tuner, 2 in the amp).My questions are:

  1. What are the specs.
  2. If permitted, a recommendation of website to purchase from?
  3. Can LED lamps be used as a replacement?
The original lamps have leads that are soldered to the circuit board. I would like to purchase the same type, as there are no sockets. The lamps are held in place by a rubber grommet and secure to a bracket. I realize I may have to improvise, especially in the case of replacing them with modern LED lamps.

Thanks,
Rich
