Hey everyone - I'm trying to restore a nice yamaha CR-440 -- I can get to the lamps easily enough but I don't know what kind of lamps to replace the burnt out lamps with.

Can anyone help me with which replacement lamps to use for the tuner band on a Yamah CR-440?

Thanks!

B-2, Yamahammer?

or any other Yamaholic out there know what the lamp voltage and mA rating is on this receiver? Help a new AKer out.

The 440 is different from the other CR-n40 sets in that it does not use the little twist lock holders for the dial scale illumination, Dave's 14V 80mA lamps with the wire leads are just what you need.

Suggest you replace them all to avoid having to go back in six months from now to do it again. Especially if they run in series and losing one makes several go dark.

success!

Installing the lamps wasn't as hard as I thought --- followed the leads back to the circuit board and unwrapped them -- soldered the new leads to the board

did splice the lead for the tuner pointer lamp --
Thanks for Bob's and dgwojo's help!
