Let's See How You Use Your Pioneer Stuff!

Here is some of my Pioneer gear.........

Picture033.jpg

My (extremely inadequate compared to everyone else's) setup.

Numark TTUSB (I really want a 70s SL-560 or 570)
SX-680 receiver (30WPC at 8 Ohms)
CS-66G (40WPC max at 8 Ohms)

Other things are PS2 Slim for movies and CDs hooked up to Logitech Z-680 5.1 system (500W RMS) and my old tv and record collection.

Here is the living room system...it use to run through a set of HPM-150's, but replaced with Bozak B-4000's. One DVR-7000 (the one in the rack) is used for cd's, the other (under the tv) for DVR's and recording. The HPM-150's have been moved to the bedroom and there I use an SX-1050 mostly for radio ( can't sleep :boring: in silence, got to have sound). In the kitchen I have a SX-D7000 running through a set of EPI 200's. Finally in the guest bedroom there is an SX-750 running through a set of Pioneer CS-06 speakers.

The racks are from Lowes. The wheels are sold separately and they do lock. The rack is 18x24x36 without the wheels and 41" high with the wheels. I added some 1/2" baltic birch plywood and drilled holes in alignment with the posts to allow the plywood shelved to slip over the posts and rest on the metal shelves.

This photo does not show that as the mod was done after the photo was taken. The new shelves really make it look nicer and adds a nice solid platform for the gear to sit on and keeps the feet of the gear from falling through the metal shelves. I was using 1/4" masonite as a temporary solution.

Nice extra touches ... didn't you also mod an Ikea expedit record shelf? I saw some pictures before that looked nice as well with the added base.

It´s a bit of a mess, but I´m still trying to figure out how to fit all this Pioneer stuff into my living room.

Man, when I was 18, I spent hours wandering around audio shops drooling over stuff like this!

Anyway, to bring the word 'modest' down to it's most basic, here's my rig.

Yeah baby, look and quiver!

Thought I would revive this thread for anybody wanting to post their Pioneer systems all set up.

Here is a picture of my office system:

In the picture we have:

Gateway Laptop
Pioneer SX-D5000 Stereo Receiver
Pioneer Elite PD-65 CD Player
Music Hall dac25.2 Tube Dac
Design Acoustics PS-10 Speakers
Sennheisser HD 580 Headphones

To my ears, everything sounds pretty good with this system, and it does it all. AM/FM radio, Ripped/Streamed music off the laptop, and CDs. Both the laptop and the CD player run through the Tube DAC to give me that smooth analog sound. I like it!

My almost completely Pioneer system:

SX-1980
PL-530
RT-707
CT-F1000
SD-1100
QL-600a
SR-303
HPM-100

Beautiful system you have there!

A couple of nice rare pieces there as well in the SD-1100 & QL-600a. :thmbsp:

Replaced the L-88's with these Audax C-100 speakers. Added the PL-530 and the RT-707 in the last couple of weeks.
Almost complete...need a case for the 707, then I think I can relax. I don't think anything else will fit.

I use it to relax and for aesthetic reasons, matches the shelving perfectly:)

Thanks for the nice comments, guys! Retro, love that D5000! Always wanted to hear one of those.

Classic form, very lovely! Someday I will get a SG-9800 in a wood case like yours...that is the one piece I would like to have to replace the Sansui EQ I am using.

Pioneer spaces

K here goes!

Very nice. Always thought about adding pioneer speakers to round it all out. I'd ask how you like them but I think that's fairly obvious.

I'm big on aesthetic. I feel the cs-series are the best looking out of any main stream 70's speaker. I love the sound as well, especially when one pairs the cs 99a's with the cs-88a's....quite stunning.
