I am having a trouble setting the gain setting dip switches for HD6XX on little dot mkII. Different manuals say differently.

One manual says High Gain setting is for low impedance headphones

the other manual says

High gain setting is for high impedance 300ohm or higher headphones.

I am using the low gain setting with my HD6XX and i have to go half way on the volume pot to get slightly louder sound. But when i put the high gain mode i can hear some kind of buzzing when i go higher in volume in silence.

Please help me to figure which is ideal settings.

They're your ears. :music:

Which settings sound the best to you?

On the low gain setting, half way up on the volume is not a bad thing especially for higher sensitive headphones.
