Background, I have an ST 70 which has undergone some changes, i was looking for the last piece of the puzzle (well maybe?) At its heart now, it has the Tronola line, phono mods. Loudness mod. I aped Buzzks PS, which includes a small PCB that Jon made with Dave's EFB for the Eico. A bunch of nonsense was removed in the speaker switch and (i believe a Dave G tweaked output section) It really sounds quite good!. It also has a low level hiss (inaudible with program playing and uneffected by volume control) which i understand is inherent in the design. I also understand that the 2080 while remarkably similar (design and components) solved the low level noise. This will be a future project , maybe winter 17/18. I have ST 70 manual, I have a ST2080 schematic (thank you Jon) What i was hoping for was a 2080 manual (assembly, service)(which I'm not even sure one exists). What might be as good or better would be detailed pics of sections. I suspect Eico spent some time planning lead dress and routing. Rather than me bushwacking and trying to reinvent the wheel, i was hoping to follow the well worn path. Dave , If you feel you didn't get enough kudos in the OP post, Dave is the man! If you have anything handy from previous work please let me know. If anybody has a 2080 in their stable and would be willing to pull the covers and do a photo shoot (between now and say thanksgiving/xmas, that'd be great! Could be posted in open forum or PM me. I'll certainly share anything that comes my way. Thanks in advance!
