Looking to buy my first Marantz receiver

After hearing a friend of mine's 2215, I've decided to purchase one of my own, but no necessarily a 2215. I have a general idea of the progression of Marantz model numbers, but sometimes I get confused. I am not really looking for anything TOTL, as this receiver will be used in my kitchen and to power a pair of outdoor speakers.

So what should I be looking for? What should I expect to spend?

Well, what is the power handling of your outdoor speakers? I would say, that either the 2230, or 2245 are excellent MOTL Marantz receivers and both have a considerable following..

You should expect to spend anywhere from $90 - $150 depending on condition. If you want the wood case, add $70-$150 to that price..
