Lug Lament

On another note: Shoddy packing by pros. I ordered a tweeter (I won't say from who), it's a very heavy one for a powerful speaker and not cheap ($70 plus shipping). Packed in an individual little box, inside a peanut-filled outer box, all of which look fine. But inside, the tweeter has lugs that come straight out the back, not the sides, and it weighs near a pound, so when the box is dropped, all the force is on the ends of those lugs, and one broke right off. It does not look fixable, likely some kind of crimp or rivet deal.

All it would have taken was a square of styro under the driver to prevent that from happening. Likely the original failure was at the factory in China. I sent them the pic so we'll see what happens, but how did no one think of this in the first place?
