    Hi guys
What do you think of these.Have an option to buy them at a price somewhere
around 120$.Seems that they are good working and looks fine.
I think I read somewhere that c120A is a rather good preamp.

I think the going rate for those two pieces on everyone's favourite auction site would be between four and five hundred dollars, depending on conditions and everything else included.

I'm currently running the same duo with matching tuner and turntable, through a pair of KEF Carlton III's. The sound is fantastic. The C-120a has plenty of tone adjustments to fine tune the sound to your liking, or you can defeat the tone controls for a shorter signal path from source to amplifier. The M-120a is 120 watt per channel stereo amplifier, but is also bridgeable for 300 watts in mono.

I paid over $300 Canadian for my pre/power combo and I feel that I got a deal. $120 is a steal!

    I have 5 M-120A's and a C-120A can't recommend them enough.

That is a good deal especially if they are in decent shape. I hope you got them. I have a few Luxman pieces and was always curious about this combo. I don't seem to need 120 watts at this point. Let everyone know how it goes. That was fun. My second post in 2 years!

Welcome back peet_pete! I have a few Luxman pieces too and they are great, I really love the sound and the look. You know you have the best wife in the world when she buys you a Luxman C-02 for my birthday to match the M-02 power amp! Great combo.

Those are fine pieces, and you ALWAYS need more power!
Run back and buy them, that's a great price for the pair.

Can anyone vouch for the sound quality of the Luxman c-20 preamplifier?

When I was a kid I would go across the street to my best friend's house and we would listen to all kinds of stuff on his dad's L-410 through a pair of Mission 762s. He had some old Technics CD player. Ahhhh man it sounded incredible, I still remember the warmth. It must have been pretty amazing for a 10 year old to note how good it sounded while busy building elaborate Lego spaceships. A couple of years ago I caught up with that friend and discovered the Lux/Mission setup had been replaced by a Bose Life$tyle home theater system. :tears: I think his dad still has that stuff, I better go and relieve him of it....:scratch2:
