Can't say, but FMTunerInfo was pretty critical of the T-240.
I looked it up because there's a t-240 on shopgoodwill and I had the same question. I've actually been hoping that a M-117 pops up, one just did, but it was local sale only.
Luxman made a handful of really nice tuners and a bunch of OK ones. The T-230 is certainly in the latter category. But my experience with cheaper Luxman tuners is that they might not be great at pulling in tough signals but they do have a nice sound. If in good shape and found really cheap it would be worth a listen.
Even if it's sub par for Lux an I bet you'll get your money's worth. I've had a couple Lux receivers that aren't on anyone's want list and they were still good as far as inexpensive used receivers go.
I received the tuner yesterday. Very clean and pulls in many stations well without drift but the sound is mediocre. Good tuner for a garage or hobby room.
