Showtime is currently airing a doc on Lynyrd Skynyrd .
I gather at some point you can stream it from one of the services, if you're interested.
I watched it Sunday. I'm not a huge fan - more in the CDB, Tucker area with dose of Allman thrown in.
But they did make some good music.

I'm with you Sam, more into the Allman Brothers, MTB part of Southern Rock, but I really enjoyed this film. This band was just cursed, terrible luck. Joining Skynyrd was like being invited to be Spinal Taps' drummer, or the Dead's keyboard player. I was impressed with Steve Gaines's guitar playing and when you are not being exposed to their music 24/7 like I was in college, you realize they had some talent and wrote some good tunes like "Gimme Three Steps" etc. A worthwhile watch.

I never considered myself a huge fan of their music but I thought the documentary was excellent and I learned a lot about the band I didn't know. I also came to appreciate their music a little more than did before seeing it.
