MAC 1700 Question

Hello I'm looking at one of these for the purpose of using the tubed tuner. Is it possible to run this using my MC2105. Thanks for any information or help. Joe

The 1700 does not have pre out loops on the rear, you might use the fixed level tape output but you would have to use the gain controls on the 2105 to set volume, and you would not have use of the tone controls. If you have a preamp allerady I would suggest an MR67 or MR71 tuner, either is a better tuner than the MAC1700 is and they are tube.

You can use the 1700 as a tuner. If looking for preamp controls, look at the MX110 tube tuner/preamp. The Z series is the most sought after and command the highest prices. The eariler series are quire decent and can be a bargain.
