I would be against it but you could go to 0.47ohms, would need to replace R763 with same.
The 0.47ohms may affect bias setting.

What about going to .33 ohms?

I measured a pair of .33 and .47Ω 5W and went with the .33Ω which measured closer to .40Ω and replaced the R763/765 emitters. tested with DBT ok, powered up with scope and trace at both L & R speaker terminals looked good, even.

Bad news is, I can't read bias on either side now for some reason. Didn't touch the right side.
