Another observation if it provides anymore clues: I plugged my iPhone into the dubbing jack, and hit the monitor button. Stereo light, as usual, was on, and after a minute or so it went off, or so it seemed. While listening to the iPhone I rotated the 'selector knob'. I noticed the stereo light was still on, very dimly, on all functions EXCEPT when it got to the FM or AM functions. Total blackness behind the panel at that point.....To be continued.......
