Marantz BD 5004

I found one of these in good condition available locally for $60. I'd like to use it as a CD player with my Toshiba SA-7100.

Should I buy it?

Circa 2009, MSRP $549, doesn't support streaming, has an SD Card port for MP3s. As long as it is in working order it should do the job for you. I'd say go for it.

Thanks for the reply, Mark! Update: I bought it. Man, am I glad I did! Dual analog out with Burr Brown DAC's and it has what I think is a pretty neat feature, you can isolate all the video circuitry. In effect, turn everything else off...including the display! Not sure if that's common but I sure thought it was mighty cool.
