Hello I have a Marantz Sr 2000 that my old man is repairing for me up north and ran into a dead end with trying to identify a part . It is in the power supply section and is on the service manual 0.1uf + 120 ohm .
I figure that would be a film capacitor but is it a type of suppression or safety capacitor .On the service manual parts list the location is G801 . Is there anything I can use as a sub for this ? He purchased the amplifier powered it on with no luck .He changed the main 2 big caps and diodes with exact replacements but when powered on they will pop as well as a smaller one as well .He checked all the runs and solder as well as parts on the board but everything seem original except for that 0.1uf +120 ohm part that is supposed to be there but instead its a square box type cap I suppose with the numbers 103 written on it . Any help will do .Thanks fellas .
