Marantz SR3100 help/advise

    Are these Marantz sound good if they are in good working condition? Attached some pics. Could someone please advise. Thank you in advance for your prompt response.

    No, that's not how they are supposed to work. There's probably a good reason it was in the scrap bin.

    There's a heckuva lot more wrong with that unit than a few bad caps. A recap isn't a magic bullet. That's like thinking an Aleve can cure anything that's wrong with you.

    Your problems will take a good tech time to fix, not to mention parts, and that can be very expensive. ...often more than a new unit would cost, as it's original owner probably discovered.

    ...and replaced some caps and transistors. Sound beautiful, SPECTACULAR. Awesome integrated and it's older than me.
