Hello, I have bought a Superscope R-1270 last time in december, very satisfied with it. 2x 35 Watts per channel. Model R-1240 delivers 2x 20 Watts per channel.
Those are designed by the same Superscope/Marantz engineers, lots of components are similar to the Marantz components, although some are cheaper than Marantz.
But sound quality is amazing and the positive side is you can buy a Superscope for the fraction of the price what they ask for a similar Marantz, mine is comparible with
Marantz 2235, but I have bought my Superscope for 60 Euro's.

Hi from Schweinfurt in Germany to Sacramento.CA, i have one of this beautyful small Superscopes, the Model R-1240 with a black frontpanel.
It sounds wonderful warm with great Bass and fine Treble. I also have an Marantz 2235b but it seems there is only a small difference in sound volume and Dynamic.
I love my Superscope as well as my Marantz. I bought it for 80 Euro's and the Marantz was more expensive with over 200 bucks.
Hello, I have the silver model of the R-1240. I am planning a recap. Does anyone have a data sheet or schematic of this model? I only found one for the R-1270.
