Just wondering what speakers is everyone running with thier vintage Marantz????
I'm running some Large Advent's with my 2230,they sound very musical.
Can anyone share thier experience.

At the moment I have some Polk Monitor 10As on a Marantz 2265 and I'm digging it! My Pioneer SX-3900 is hooked to the Large Advents and, well, that's pretty nice too!

2215 and Hereseys in the bedroom. I have a 4430 connected to some Infinity Qb that sound good together also. Also had the 2215 connected to New Large Advents and that was a good combination.

i have marantz 2238 ,it drives a Klipsch RF-3 louspeakers , the sound is very real and natural
the high efficiency of these speakers makes them ideal for use in both receivers and amplifiers with low power outputs

that's the setup i have with my 2325. sounds great with those large advents.:music:

I have a 2285 and use Marantz Imperial 7s. I also have a set of Klipsch kg4s but I do not like them at all.

Right now, depending on the rotation, I have my 2215B hooked up to my smaller advents, and my 4270 hooked up to new large Advents and a pair of Imperial 6's. My 170 DC, 3250B, and 2110 are hooked up to my Polk towers and sub.

I have my newly aquired 2240 hooked up to Mission 700 bookshelves, they sound great. I have a similar set of Paradigm speakers i'm going to try out on them that are currently being powered by my Harmon Kardon amp.

JBL L112 on one system and JBL 4301B ( in rotation with Dynaco A-25) on the other. Receivers and amps (also rotating) in use are 2270, 2285B, Luxman L550 and Accuphase E-202.

For me, it was my 2275 and Model 7 MKII's.
Second, my 2385 and HD770's
Third, my 2500 with the big HD880's -

All Fantastic combinations. Also, my Kenwood Model Sevens with the 2500 are among the best sounds I've ever experienced. I've played my Kenwood LS-408B's with the 2500 and that was beautifully clean & clear. Also played my M10 Marantz's with the 2500 which was pure magic as well. I think the best combination is Marantz + Marantz, mind you only the Marantz Speakers that were designed by former JBL engineer Ed May, such as the first and second gen HD's, DS's, M10/16, MKII Series, and the Model XXX series.

Marantz

Mostly Klipsch Forte's and Cornwalls. Currently listening to a Pair of AR3a's with a Marantz 250. Nice combination.

AR18's on my 2265, Acoustalinear 660 (3-way 12" acoustic suspension woofer, 4" sealed mid, phenolic ring tweet, all Becker sourced components) with a modded crossover in the garage on the remote channel

ran smaller advents and some home built AR 6.5" woofer/vifa tweets on my office's 2230, the SA's were sold for some AR Holographic Imaging M5's I picked up....those will be hooked up tomorrow.

marantz with AR and Advent speakers are a match made in heaven IMHO
